Mills. This Interview covers the early days of SOULSPEAK and how the band arrived with today's six member line up, where they have been and where they are going. SOULSPEAK has had some of LA's best player's through the years and continues to attract the industry's most active and Respected musicians. Unfortunately for SOULSPEAK, founding guitarist/songwriter Julian Saintjon since graduating from MI and Grove School of Music, he has been chasing the major record deal for many years and has had his up and down moments. More recently Randy Gibson has joined as the front man/songwriter and Woo Salazar bass player from "The Woo Band" to get the steam fired up SOULSPEAK. We are looking for management/booking now and will complete the 3rd album due end of the year. SOULSPEAK has been dubbed The New Santana and regularly headlines all over Hollywood and LA. We are starting to get a large draw and have some great new harder edge material to round off Gibson's epic vocal skills. Matt Herrera a solid rock drummer that also rips on conga percussion, Drew Respicio plays 2nd guitar and slams his vocals harmonies, powerful percussion player Q commands the latin rhythms and Woo on the 6 string bass has had a "stunning" effect on the SOULSPEAK sound. It is the expansive, rock with world latin rhythms and melodies that allow the dramatic parameters of this band to fully unleash the SOULSPEAK arsenal of music. "Somewhere along the line we are going to take off. We are excited to be instrumental in using our music to raise money and awareness for the local teachers and art programs. I never understood why something so important is always victim of budget cuts. We are writing songs that challenge us, yet will remain POP music when all is said and done.
